Beth McDonald, MA, LGPC

Therapist

Before becoming a therapist, I spent fourteen years as a middle school English teacher, where I also provided academic coaching and mentored adults in a variety of settings. That experience deepened my passion for walking alongside others as they grow through life’s challenges and transitions. Today, I work with individuals, couples, and families, combining my clinical training with real-world experience to offer meaningful, practical support.

I specialize in helping clients navigate relationship struggles, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and spiritual concerns. I approach therapy through an attachment-based lens and draw from emotionally focused therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and client-centered work. This integrative approach allows me to tailor sessions to your unique needs.

In our work together, you (and your partner, if applicable) can expect to gain practical tools to apply in everyday life—tools designed to reduce anxiety and depression, increase emotional insight, and strengthen your connection with yourself and those around you. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where you feel seen, heard, and truly understood. We'll focus both on addressing immediate concerns and fostering deeper, long-term emotional growth.

I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Wheaton College. I truly believe that every person deserves a space where they can explore and rewrite their story with honesty, support, and hope. I’d be honored to partner with you on that journey.
