My Approach to Therapy
With a vibrant spirit and dedication to lifelong learning, I earned dual Master's degrees in Social Work and Jewish Studies from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 1991, also completing the esteemed Baltimore Institute of Jewish Communal Service program.
Over the years, I've joyfully contributed to various nonprofit organizations as an educator, community organizer, and social worker. Alongside my loving husband, we've raised three wonderful children, now thriving young adults. Embracing the unique gifts of my autistic son, I've found great fulfillment in volunteering and providing therapy for autistic teens and adults.
As a Certified Autism Specialist (CAS), I champion neurodiversity and a strength-based approach. I'm particularly passionate about supporting autistic individuals in their journey towards self-identity, self-advocacy, relationships, and communication.
Further deepening my expertise, I've obtained an Advanced Trauma Treatment certification through the Ferentz Institute. As a trauma-informed therapist, I bring a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental perspective to my work.
Eager to accompany individuals aged 12 and up on their path to self-discovery, I believe in the power of mindfulness and embrace life's endless learning opportunities. I cordially invite my clients to join me on this enlightening journey towards greater self-understanding.
