My Approach to Therapy

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 18 years of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those I work with. Since 2004, I have had the privilege of working in various capacities within the mental health sector, including outpatient mental health, school-based mental health, inpatient treatment, crisis intervention, and the correctional system. This diverse background has given me a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals from all walks of life.

Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of working with adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families, helping them navigate through a wide range of mental health issues. These include anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, behavioral disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders, self-harm, adjustment-related disorders, substance abuse, grief, and life changes/adjustments. In our sessions, I am committed to creating a cheery, safe, and supportive environment where clients can feel comfortable opening up about their experiences, emotions, and concerns. I believe in the power of collaboration and will work closely with you to develop a tailored approach to therapy, incorporating evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies.

My ultimate goal is to help you uncover your strengths, build resilience, and empower you to create lasting, positive change in your life. Through our work together, we will explore the root causes of your challenges, develop coping mechanisms, and cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness and self-compassion. As we embark on this journey of healing and personal growth, I am honored to be by your side, offering guidance, support, and a listening ear. Let's work together to create a brighter, more fulfilling future for you and your loved ones, as you embrace the power of transformation and discover the best version of yourself.
