My Approach to Therapy

Creating a safe space to explore your concerns is vital for enhancing your mental and emotional health, and I am here to support you through your struggles. Whether you are grappling with gender or sexuality concerns, substance use, anxiety, grief and loss, or major life transitions, my objective is to help you improve your mental and emotional wellbeing. As an affirming, mindfulness-based therapist, I collaborate with clients to achieve their short- and long-term goals while respecting their unique experiences and backgrounds.

My experience includes working with individuals living with anxiety, depression, addiction, LGBTQ+ issues, PTSD, trauma, grief and loss, relationship concerns, and life transitions. As a Grief Counseling Specialist, I emphasize a client-centered approach focused on safety and acceptance. My counseling techniques encompass Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I offer individual, couple, and family counseling using systemic and family-centered approaches. Together, let's navigate toward a healthier mental and emotional wellbeing that fosters growth and resilience, even in the face of life's challenges.

Fun Facts

  1. I have a dog named Cooper and a cat named Sophie at home. They bring a smile to my face every time I walk in the door!

  2. I love to travel, plan trips, and try new things! Once, I went camel-back riding in the streets of Morocco.

  3. In my free time, I really enjoy catching up on my favorite TV shows, going for a walk with friends, or reading a great book (nothing beats a good contemporary romance or mystery thriller!).
