My Approach to Therapy

Infusing each session with a warm and genuine passion for helping others, I approach therapy by building connections with clients through a client-centered, mindfulness-based, and strengths-focused lens. My authenticity fosters strong therapeutic relationships between you, your family, and me. Grounded in a culturally humble relational-cultural therapy perspective with a trauma-informed framework, I ensure that every client in the therapy space feels heard and appreciated for their unique differences and strengths.

Together, we'll create a collaborative and supportive environment that empowers clients throughout their mental health journey. Drawing from my extensive experience as a counselor, I utilize effective tools and techniques to help clients achieve their goals, both individually and within their family dynamics. I work with individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, elders, and clients with autism.

My expertise spans working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, autism, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, trauma, issues of power/privilege/oppression, grief, developmental concerns, social skills, and ADHD. Embracing diversity, I welcome clients of varying identities into each session, including race, gender, class, sexual orientation, religion, age, and disability.

As a gaming enthusiast, I understand the importance of hobbies and passions in our lives. I aim to create a therapeutic environment where clients can openly discuss their interests, such as gaming, and explore their impact on mental health, relationships, and personal growth.
